Next Tuesday, gun voters and gun right supporters from across Pennsylvania have a very important decision to make.
Who will our next governor be?
In order to help you make the most informed decision, we surveyed all of the candidates running for governor and are sharing the results with you.
We asked each candidate a series of eight yes-or-no questions that they will face if elected Governor of Pennsylvania, including a gun rights pledge.

Here is how each candidate responded to our 2022 Pennsylvania Firearms Association Gubernatorial Candidate survey program:
Doug Mastriano – 100%!
Doug Mastriano completed our survey and answered every question 100% PRO-GUN!

Gun owners across Pennsylvania know that Doug is a verified champion for gun rights.
He sponsored the Second Amendment Preservation Act and was instrumental in pushing Constitutional Carry through the legislature last fall!
Just like he has done in the Pennsylvania State Senate, Doug has pledged to be a FIGHTER in the Governor’s mansion if elected.
If you see Doug on the campaign trail, be sure to thank him for being a fighter for gun rights!
Lou Barletta – ???
Lou Barletta REFUSED to fill out the Pennsylvania Firearms Association Candidate Survey!
As you can see by clicking here, Lou’s survey was delivered to him – but he didn’t bother to fill it out!
Instead, he chooses to hide his positions on the Second Amendment and keep them from gun owners in Pennsylvania. Sad!
Worse, Barletta has signaled support for a ban on bump stocks and Fix NICS gun control in the past, emboldening the radical left and opening the door for more gun control in the future.
By not filling out his survey, gun owners are left with serious questions about how he would govern on Second Amendment issues.
If you see Barletta on the campaign trail, ask him to APOLOGIZE for failing to fill out the PFA candidate survey and beg forgiveness from gun owners for supporting gun control.
Bill McSwain – ???
Bill McSwain REFUSED to fill out the Pennsylvania Firearms Association Candidate Survey!
As you can see by clicking here, Bill’s survey was delivered – but he didn’t bother to fill it out!
By not filling out his survey, gun owners are left with serious questions about how he would govern on Second Amendment issues.
If you see McSwain on the campaign trail, ask him to APOLOGIZE to gun owners for failing to fill out the PFA candidate survey!
Dave White – ???
Dave White REFUSED to fill out the Pennsylvania Firearms Association Candidate Survey!
In fact, he didn’t even bother to pick it up from his local post office!
As you can see, we sent Dave his survey via certified letter and it was returned to us after several attempts by the post office to deliver it to him.
By not filling out his survey, gun owners are left with serious questions about his positions on the Second Amendment.
If you see Dave White on the campaign trail, ask him to APOLOGIZE to gun owners for not filling out his survey and putting his positions on our gun rights on paper.
Charlie Gerow – 100%!
Charlie Gerow completed our survey and answered every question 100% PRO-GUN!

And while we have no reason to believe that he would govern other than what Charlie has indicated on his survey response, it is worth noting that Charlie is on the Board of Directors of the American Conservative Union, an organization that consistently gives a pass to RINO politicians around the country, allowing them to promote themselves as ‘conservative!’
Others
We surveyed the other candidates running for the Republican Gubernatorial nomination: Jake Corman and Melissa Hart, but neither of them completed and returned their candidate survey either!
Yes, we even surveyed the Democrats running for governor, which these days is akin to milking a bull.
Both candidates Democrat Attorney General Josh Shapiro and Democrat Tega Swann joined with Lou Barletta, Bill McSwain and Dave White in total disrespect to gun owners and REFUSED to sign their Pennsylvania Firearms Association candidate survey.
Although we have a pretty good idea of where they stand on gun rights…
Conclusion
The Pennsylvania Firearms Association has the best grassroots army of any state in America – bar none – when it comes to fighting for gun rights.
We feel very confident in finding a path forward for both defending our gun rights and advancing our firearm freedoms no matter who is Pennsylvania’s next Governor.
As you can see from the results above, there are three candidates that pledge their total support for the 2nd Amendment.
And while we cannot tell you which candidates you should choose to represent you – that choice is yours alone – please make sure that you head to the polls on Tuesday, May 17 and proudly cast your vote for gun-rights!
